Player Spotlight

Eric Krans (1973-2025) Eric was born with a progressive genetic disorder. He loved sports all of his life. When he was young he played T-Ball, Little League Baseball and soccer. Later he played Special Olympics basketball and bowling. He liked to play catch and shoot baskets with his dad. If he wasn’t playing he liked to attend sporting events or watch on TV.

He loved the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. His parents took him to many games in Denver.

He loved to go camping and fishing with his cousins. He caught a few Brookies over the years and was quite proud of them.

His last several years were challenging for him. He slowly lost his ability to walk. He moved into NOWCAP Services (group home). They were wonderful with him. They took him to local sporting events and WWCC basketball.

Eric always had a smile on his face and had a good sense of humor. He was a happy guy and people enjoyed being around him.

Eric only played one year in the Miracle League. I will always remember the big smile on his face the first time he was pushed from 3rd to home plate – it said it all. He was so happing, it was like he was playing baseball again. We are so thankful that Eric got to experience this wonderful program.

We’re a non-profit charity.
